DRAGGING THE BONE 2014

solo performance by Miet Warlop

Miet Warlop has been pursuing visual experiments in stage form. Her latest piece, Dragging the Bone, is an attempted exegesis of her work and herself in a language created before the audience’s very eyes. Addressing concepts such as ambition, enthusiasm and determination, this new creation merges the immaterial processes of the work into a « sculptural event”. Dragging the Bone, whose title refers to an Etruscan object in bronze with divinatory properties, stages a narrative, a life that becomes petrified, as though under Medusa’s gaze.
